About Us

At A Note Above School of Music, our dedicated and qualified teachers focus on the needs and interests of our students, regardless of age or musical ability.

We currently offer instruction in the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (RCM) programme, Kindermusik, and various method programs in private and group lessons for: guitar, piano, theory, and vocal.

Eva Marshall, Director/Owner

Eva Marshall’s, love of music began at an early age. She started piano lessons at age 7; however, health problems forced her to quit at age 12. A number of years later, she recommenced her studies and went on to complete the Royal Conservatory of Music ARCT Performers with Reginald Bedford.

After purchasing Alexander’s Music School in Pickering, Eva decided that she would return to studies under Ron Tomarelli, receiving the Royal Conservatory's ARCT Teacher's Piano Certificate. Eva also studied voice with Marjorie Sparks obtaining her Grade 8 RCM Certificate.

Eva Marshall is an active member of O.R.M.T.A. – The Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association.
